The Eco Intelligence iron was created with technology and design in mind and is available in a sleek black color with green detailing, accentuating its modern shape. The iron’s new and patented Microsteam400 3De soleplate is at the crux of the energy-efficient design – helping to concentrate steam on the fabric, reducing loss of steam and therefore saving on water usage.
Additionally, the unique new Eco Steam system is designed to help ensure optimal steam output to save energy and still provide the performance Rowenta users demand of their products. In addition to the ergonomic rotary trigger for both left and right-handed users, the exclusive steam optimization system offers three different settings, including:
Dry position for perfect finish;
Eco position for delivering optimal steam output while saving energy;
Boost position for additional variable steam for ultra thick fabrics and stubborn creases;
The various design features of the new Eco Intelligence iron lead to optimum ironing results. 1700 watts of power ensure fast, powerful heat-up and superior bursts of steam for thick fabrics or vertical steaming. The round shape at the back of the product reduces the frequency of creases when ironing and in line with other Rowenta products, the Eco Intelligence iron features a high-precision tip for reaching narrow areas and a stainless steel soleplate for premium scratch resistance.
“We are thrilled to finally unveil the new Eco Intelligence iron,” said Michele Lupton Marketing Communications Director, Groupe SEB USA. “Rowenta has always been a leader and an innovator in the industry and we’re proud to offer the first energy efficient iron in North America. We are excited to provide our customers with an eco-friendly product that delivers the same excellent results they have come to expect from Rowenta.”
