Alouette Cheese Grand Prize Recipe, Alouette® Frittata
Following a nationwide search to find the perfect recipe using Alouette® Spreadable Cheese, BC-USA, Inc., the producers of Alouette Cheese, named Roxanne Chan of Albany, Calif., the grand prize winner of the Alouette® “Make Every Occasion Perfect™” Recipe Contest. Chan’s winning recipe, Alouette® Frittata, was selected for its excellent flavor achieved by blending Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil Spreadable Cheese with eggs, sour cream, baby shrimp, onions and lemon zest. Judges also applauded the recipe’s ease of preparation and flexibility to be served warm or cold.
Here is her winning recipe…
Alouette® Frittata Serves: 4-6
1 pkg. (6.5 oz.) Alouette Sundried Tomato & Basil Spreadable Cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup cooked baby shrimp
2 green onions, minced
2 tsp. lemon zest
Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
Whisk together Alouette Spreadable Cheese, eggs and sour cream in a large bowl until well blended.
Stir in shrimp, onion and 1 teaspoon lemon zest until well mixed.
Pour into a 13×9-inch non-stick baking pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until set.
Cut the warm frittata into squares and garnish with remaining lemon zest.
Tip: This recipe can be served warm or cold and cut into small squares for use as an appetizer.
